DESCRIPTION

Contemplating propositions in quantum physics such as M-theory and superstring theory, which propose that there are 11-dimmensions of space, I started to visualise a concept and form for each of these 11-dimmensions. These dimensions go beyond the tangible and physical world into the invisible and energetic. The sculptures are solid and heavy, made of metal and caste concrete, while representing the ideas that posit there is in fact no ‘solid’ reality. The sculptural forms are pigmented with black sand collected from the beach where they are situated, continuing my inclusion of nature within the works.
