For Untitled Art Fair 2022, Garrard constructed a temporary instillation on Miami Beach. The work is a continuation of her site-specific, transitory installations that use nature as their medium and in-terweave structures in relation to specific natural phenomena, echoing the instability of form and the inevitability of change. Exploring the synergies between material science and esoteric practice, she has developed a language that intimately connects the internal with the cosmic and universal.

The artist and landscape will co-create and co-design the space, recalibrating the environment to re-veal its essential symbolic qualities, and interacting symbiotically with the elements, the ocean and those that interact with the artwork. The series of geometric objects emerge from the sand, referenc-ing ancient traditions and her own geometric language, the objects form a ceremonial space for con-templation, meditation and a reconceiving of the consciousness of landscape. The drawn lines and carved mounds that surround and connect the objects create patterns and symbols that correspond with the landscape while referring to a higher creative order.
